!Feliz dia de los muertos! That’s Spanish for “Happy Day of the Dead!” Legend’s Spanish Club hosted a party for Day of the Dead on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday tradition celebrated on Nov. 1 throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures as well. This holiday focuses on the gathering of family and friends to celebrate their loved ones who have passed away. They celebrate the opportunity to meet their loved ones.

The Spanish Club celebrated this popular Mexican holiday with fun and games. They had snacks, played games, and also colored skulls in bright colors. The Day of the Dead is meant to be a celebration rather than a mourning.

“It’s all fun. We like to have a good time,” Adrienne Bock, Spanish teacher said.

Music played in the background, with friends sitting together and coloring the skulls in celebration of the holiday.

“[The party] went great! The turnout for Spanish Club is so great! People from different grades and Spanish levels come together,” Bock said.
