Led by editors senior Rochele Mac, juniors Rebecca Garbrick and Michaela Billat, and sophomore Brian Waite, Legend’s yearbook staff will be creating the 2013-2014 edition with a few more accolades on the shelf.

 Among these include several summer camp awards such as “Best Theme” (medium school) at the Rocky Mountain Journalism Camp in Boulder, as well as “Best Package Design” for their work on this year’s book.

 “That’s What We Do,” which was lettered in gold on the cover of last year’s book, was also named a gold medalist by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

 At the state level, the staff also won an “All Colorado” award for their entire 2013 yearbook, and finished a top 10 finalist in the Herff Jones “Power of a Yearbook” contest where they featured Legend’s International Friends of Orphans page.

The yearbook staff is working on meeting their current deadlines and hoping to add another award winning yearbook to the Legend bookshelf.
