On Wednesday Feb. 12th, the Legend Spanish Club met inside mobile 6 after school. At Spanish Club the students took part in decorating sugar cookies with pink frosting and Valentine themed sprinkles to celebrate Valentines day. The students also munched on chips and salsa while they watched Disney’s “Tangled”.

Freshman Mitchell Rino said his favorite thing about Spanish club is, “the food”. Ms. Bock a Spanish teacher and organizer of Legend’s Spanish club said the Spanish club organizes activities that, “focus around holidays or the cultural event in the month”.

Bock also knows that, “students like activities with food”.

“I like that we get to hang out and it’s not serious like class”, said Freshman Aidan Samuelson.

Wednesday was Freshman Emilyssa Tolmans first time at a Spanish club meeting. Her first impression of the club was, “it was really cool and chill.”

Bocks favorite memory of Spanish club was at their end of the year party at the end of the school year. They had a pinata, hung it in F pod, and took turns hitting it.

“That was a fun activity”, said Bock.

“When you are here we are promoting the language and have fun outside of class”, said Bock about how Spanish club benefits the students.
