Guitar II and Guitar III students performed at their annual concert Thursday April 24. The concert showcased many of the students’ talents in music, including singing, playing the piano, and playing guitar. Students chose the songs they wanted to perform at the concert, either a cover of a song or an original composition.
“I love performing my original music because I can kind of showcase my creative work and portray a message to the audience,” senior Daesha Martch said.
Guitar teacher Eli Moore has been holding these concerts since he came to Legend.
“I wanted Guitar to be consistent with all the other Performing Arts programs, so we needed to have some sort of performance,” Moore said.
There were 33 performances at the concert. Some of the performances were solo acts, some were duets, and some were groups as large as the entire guitar class. The show lasted two hours, and the acts were placed in such a way that there was a great variety of sounds.
